Process Engineer (Fluoro Elastomers)

Location: Dordrecht, the Netherlands; onsite at the Dordrecht manufacturing site

What you will do

• Monitor process performance, troubleshoot abnormalities, and lead root-cause analyses in the FluoroElastomers unit.
• Lead or support Process Safety Management activities, including PHA, MOC, PSSR, and Mechanical Integrity.
• Identify and implement improvements in safety, quality, capacity, reliability, cost, energy efficiency, and emissions reduction.
• Provide process engineering input to capital projects from front-end engineering through commissioning.
• Design and run plant trials, improve operating procedures, and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with operators, maintenance, engineering, and site leadership across the plant, control room, and data analysis activities.

Requirements

• MSc in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• More than 5 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing technology, or reliability, including at least 3 years as a process engineer in a manufacturing plant or equivalent role.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex process problems.
• Fluent English required.
• Hands-on mindset and ability to work effectively with operators, maintenance teams, and engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with elastomers, monomers, reliability, data analytics, plant trials, or capital projects.
• Working knowledge of DCS batch logic systems and polymerization technologies.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Dutch language skills; willingness to learn Dutch is sufficient.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-alignment skills.
