Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Singapore; hybrid work with office attendance expectations confirmed by the Hiring Manager

What you will do

• Design, code, unit test, and functionally test applications for the Business-to-Business Identity & Access Management team.
• Define requirements and solution approaches with technical leads and project managers.
• Develop applications using Agile practices and open-source tools for continuous integration and delivery.
• Support system design, integration testing, database modeling, configuration, defect resolution, deployment planning, and change management.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, product managers, QA engineers, security and network engineers, operations personnel, and system engineers.
• Produce software and procedure documentation while following hirify.global security and software development standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• At least 2 years of work experience, with experience in software design and application development.
• Experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, data modeling, SQL, and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, ECMAScript 6+, HTML5, CSS3, and modern web frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Experience creating testable components, writing unit tests, and using front-end testing frameworks.
• Working knowledge of application servers, Linux, Windows, LDAP, SQL Server, and development tools such as Jira, Jenkins, GitHub, or Bitbucket.

Nice to have

• Experience designing rich user interfaces or working in full-stack development.
• Familiarity with Generative AI and prompt engineering.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
