Senior Software Engineer

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable software systems for hirify.globalX, an internal product-configuration and experimentation platform.
• Develop business-critical features that support product rollouts and serve millions of users across the region.
• Improve system performance, reliability, observability, testing, and engineering quality through optimization and refactoring.
• Contribute to technical design, architecture, code reviews, API integration, and backend service development.
• Troubleshoot production issues, participate in on-call rotations, and lead incident response and resolution.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building production systems at scale.
• Strong foundations in software engineering, system design, architecture, scalability, performance optimization, reliability, testing, and debugging.
• Proficiency in modern languages such as Go, Spark, or Java, with experience building complex distributed systems.
• Experience designing and integrating APIs and backend services, using secure coding and security-first design practices.
• Familiarity with experimentation, instrumentation, data-informed development, CI/CD, development tools, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong cross-functional communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with database design and optimization, microservices, or containerization.
• Background in payments, fintech, authentication, or other high-trust products.
• Open-source contributions or technical thought leadership.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
