Senior/Staff Software Engineer, C++ - Trading Service

What you will do

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex, high-performance C++ trading systems.
• Design distributed systems with strong consistency, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and resilience.
• Own delivery from technical proposals and design reviews through implementation, deployment, debugging, replay, and validation.
• Solve low-level challenges involving networking, protocols, concurrency, memory management, performance, and Linux behavior.
• Build automated testing, failure-injection, monitoring, stability validation, and replay-based verification.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards through reviews, documentation, technical sessions, and reusable frameworks.

Requirements

• Current right to work in Singapore; visa sponsorship is not required.
• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including substantial production C++ development.
• Strong knowledge of concurrency, multithreading, network programming, and performance optimization in Linux environments.
• Experience designing complex distributed systems and reliability mechanisms such as high availability, fault tolerance, consistency, or disaster recovery.
• Strong computer systems fundamentals, including networking protocols, operating systems, memory, storage, and runtime behavior.
• Exceptional debugging, analytical, communication, ownership, and collaborative skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with exchanges, brokerage, trading counters, order management, execution, market data, or other low-latency financial systems.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, or high-throughput distributed platforms.
• Familiarity with Rust, Java, Go, Python, or other languages used in multi-language production environments.
• Practical experience applying AI tools to software engineering workflows and code quality.
• Experience working with globally distributed, cross-functional engineering teams.
