Specialist, Training & Development (Safety Training)

Location: Onsite in Hawthorne, Nevada, United States

Salary: $67,200–$100,800 hourly pay range

Day & Zimmermann provides services supporting government and industrial operations, including training and development at Hawthorne Army Depot.

What you will do

• Maintain training programs, timelines, position-specific plans, and learning frameworks for depot personnel.
• Identify training gaps and design instructor-led, web-based, computer-based, and blended curricula.
• Coordinate onboarding, technical training, competency-based development, and related training initiatives.
• Facilitate professional, technical, safety, and functional training for varied audiences.
• Evaluate learner feedback, trends, and outcomes to improve programs and coach stakeholders.
• Maintain Materials Handling Equipment training programs and support fall protection, confined space, and other safety training.

Requirements

• U.S. or naturalized citizenship is required.
• Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience in training, learning and development, education, human resources, safety, operations, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of training and development experience, including formal or informal learning strategies and training programs.
• Required certifications include IVES Instructor, OSHA Authorized Instructor, and Flagger Instructor.
• Must be able to complete the Training and Certification Program for Personnel Working in Ammunition Operations under AR 350-4.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required DoD security clearance and a valid state driver’s license.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting government staff, vendors, subject matter experts, and multiple departments.
• Audio/visual equipment and production experience for training delivery and documentation.
