Location: Waihi, New Zealand. Residential, onsite role at an underground gold mine with an 8/6 dayshift roster.

What you will do
- Develop and deliver weekly, monthly, and rolling two-week production and development mine plans.
- Prepare, review, and optimise underground production and development designs using geological, geotechnical, and operational inputs.
- Monitor drill and blast outcomes and implement improvements to mining designs and practices.
- Lead underground explosives management, including forecasting, ordering, inventory control, auditing, and reporting.
- Develop short-term ventilation plans and provide technical guidance to operations personnel.
- Conduct underground inspections and verify execution against approved designs and standards.
Requirements
- Recognised degree in Mining Engineering or an accepted equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an underground mining environment.
- Full and current driver licence.
- Ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.
- Ability to live and work onsite in Waihi, New Zealand.
