Field Specialist (Agri-Tech)

Location: Northland/Auckland, New Zealand, with regular travel across the North Island and occasional New Zealand-wide travel. The role is remote but includes hands-on field work, on-farm deployments, and potentially 3–4 days of travel per week with up to 3 nights away from home.

What you will do

• Maintain, repair, upgrade, and monitor on-farm hardware infrastructure.
• Diagnose hardware issues, resolve technical problems, and provide feedback to hardware and product teams.
• Deploy towers, collars, and other equipment on farms, providing on-site troubleshooting and installation support.
• Participate in the global on-call roster for tower-related incidents.
• Collect, interpret, and analyse hardware data to improve operational efficiency and proactively resolve issues.
• Develop and manage a maintenance system for the New Zealand market while collaborating with hardware, product, and customer success teams.

Requirements

• Based in Northland or Auckland, New Zealand, and willing to travel regularly within New Zealand.
• Practical, hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment fitting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
• Ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple tasks, and work proactively in changing field conditions.
• Strong collaboration skills and commitment to high-quality customer and infrastructure support.
• Willingness to spend several days on the road and nights away from home as required.
