Focus on troubleshooting critical equipment, maintaining pumps, motors, valves, boilers, and rotating machinery, and completing a fully funded four-year qualification.
Location: On-site in Canterbury, New Zealand. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens, Australian citizens, or New Zealand permanent residents.

What you will do
- Diagnose equipment breakdowns and perform fault-finding.
- Carry out preventative, corrective, and shutdown maintenance.
- Maintain motors, pumps, valves, rotating equipment, boilers, and site utilities.
- Support maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Develop practical skills in welding, fabrication, and vibration analysis.
- Work with automated manufacturing processes, robotics, and modern dairy production technologies.
Requirements
- Have achieved or be working toward NCEA Level 2 with Maths and English, or hold a relevant pre-trade qualification.
- Show interest and aptitude in practical, hands-on engineering work.
- Be motivated to solve problems and learn new skills.
- Be comfortable working with different people and in varied environments.
- Hold or be working toward a Restricted Driver Licence by the apprenticeship start date.
- Be at least 16 years old and meet the New Zealand citizenship, Australian citizenship, or New Zealand permanent residency requirement.
