General Manager: Pumphouse Point & Derwent Bridge Hotel (Hospitality)

Location: Lake St Clair, Tasmania, Australia; living and working at two remote properties in World Heritage wilderness

What you will do

• Lead the day-to-day operations of Pumphouse Point and Derwent Bridge Hotel.
• Manage operational, financial, guest experience, and people performance across both properties.
• Lead, coach, recruit, train, and develop a high-performing hospitality team.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, labour management, cost control, revenue growth, and business performance reporting.
• Improve guest experiences, products, services, and operational processes using feedback and performance insights.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, compliance, workplace health and safety, capital works, and property improvement projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or senior hospitality leader in a premium hotel, resort, or tourism operation.
• Extensive experience managing accommodation, food and beverage, guest services, and commercial performance.
• Strong people leadership, stakeholder management, budgeting, forecasting, P&L, and operational efficiency skills.
• Experience leading remote tourism or hospitality operations is highly regarded.
• Qualifications in Hospitality, Tourism, Management, or a related discipline.
• A reliable personal vehicle is required for access to the remote location; a working with vulnerable people check and relevant licensing accreditation are essential.
