Operational Excellence Program Manager (Pharma)

Location: McPherson, Kansas, United States; hybrid work arrangement

Annual base salary: $99,200–$165,400, plus a 12.5% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Define, design, and implement Operational Excellence, continuous improvement, and problem-solving programs.
• Own and deploy the Integrated Manufacturing Excellence program and its management system standards, including visual management, standard work, and TPM.
• Manage moderately complex cross-functional projects and drive Lean and Six Sigma improvements across production and business processes.
• Assess Operational Excellence maturity, establish performance metrics, and improve management systems across value streams and functions.
• Lead change management through stakeholder alignment, communication strategies, and adoption tracking.
• Coach leaders and mentor practitioners to strengthen Lean, Six Sigma, problem-solving, and performance management capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience, master’s degree with at least 2 years, PhD with 0+ years, associate’s degree with 8 years, or high school diploma with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Operational Excellence, continuous improvement, project management, Lean, or Six Sigma practices.
• Ability to analyze complex data, organize work in a dynamic operation, and walk through operational processes, including periods of standing.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States and authorization to work for any U.S. employer are required.
• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• Hybrid work and limited travel are required; a non-standard work schedule may occasionally be necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience leading enterprise- or site-level Operational Excellence programs with measurable business impact.
• Advanced Lean, Six Sigma, and IMEx expertise, or experience with equivalent operating systems.
• Program governance, portfolio management, benefits realization, financial acumen, and large-project leadership experience.
• Pharmaceutical experience and certifications such as Agile, PMP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or Master Black Belt.
• Experience influencing senior leaders, coaching and mentoring colleagues, building teams, negotiating, and managing stakeholders.
