Location: Full-time on-site in Mountain View, California, United States. Muon is currently registered and able to hire in AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IA, ID, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VT, VA, and WA. Access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status, eligibility without export authorization, or eligibility and reasonable likelihood of obtaining the required authorization.
Pay range: $40/hour for Bachelor's students, $45/hour for Master's students, and $50/hour for PhD students.

What you will do
- Conduct system-level GNC analysis supporting spacecraft development and on-orbit operations.
- Develop or improve GNC software features and capabilities.
- Build tools to analyze, calibrate, and operate on-orbit GNC subsystems.
- Write, improve, and automate GNC performance and regression tests.
- Own a technical project from start to finish in collaboration with the GNC Engineering team.
Requirements
- Current university coursework in software engineering and mechanical or aerospace engineering, applied physics, or electrical engineering with filtering or estimation.
- Programming skills in C++ and/or Python.
- Interest in spacecraft attitude estimation and control.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Mountain View, California during the May–September 2027 internship period.
- Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled information under applicable ITAR/EAR requirements.
Nice to have
- Julia programming experience.
- Previous internship or co-op experience.
- Hardware/software integration or mechatronics project experience.
- Experience on technical project teams such as rocketry, Formula SAE, or solar car teams.
- Experience with attitude estimation or control.
