What you will do

  • Design, develop, and implement simulation software for testing and verifying TeraWave flight software.
  • Build scalable simulation environments for software-only, hardware-in-the-loop, real-time, and spacecraft assembly, integration, and test activities.
  • Develop and integrate models covering nominal and off-nominal spacecraft operating scenarios.
  • Collaborate with hardware, systems, autonomy, and test engineers on requirements, interfaces, and subsystem behavior.
  • Support software integration, verification, validation, on-orbit operations, and spacecraft troubleshooting.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical architecture and team development.

  • Experience architecting simulation environments and complex embedded or flight software systems.
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python, with object-oriented design and modular software layering.
  • Experience with unit testing, IPC, Git, CI/CD, containerized environments, and mission-critical software verification and validation.
  • Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship or nationality, U.S. permanent residence, or lawful admission as a refugee or asylee.

Nice to have

  • Experience with NASA Trick, orbital mechanics, propagation models, CCSDS standards, NASA cFS, or spacecraft FDIR.
  • Knowledge of GN&C sensors and actuators, RTOS platforms, precision timing, and GPS-disciplined synchronization.
  • Experience with flight software interfaces and protocols including discrete I/O, TCP/IP, UDP, CAN, I2C, SPI, and RS-422/485.
  • Familiarity with static analysis tools and MISRA C/C++ coding standards.

Culture & Benefits

  • Safety-focused, collaborative, and inclusive engineering environment.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability coverage.
