Project Engineer II (Automotive)

Location: Portland, Oregon, United States; hybrid schedule with 4 days per week in-office and 1 day remote. Applicants may work in or relocate to Portland, but relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $86,000–$100,000 USD per year, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Design, communicate, and implement operational plans for engineering-based projects.
• Prepare designs, project controls, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, and forecasts for infrastructure, facilities, equipment, and related work.
• Coordinate PAR projects and lead cross-functional core teams.
• Monitor project progress and performance, resolving operational problems and minimizing delays.
• Identify and coordinate the resources, materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors required for delivery.
• Support production, transportation, installation, testing, commissioning, and project-level budget updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge and expanded professional experience in the field, with an understanding of key business drivers.
• Experience coordinating PAR projects and running cross-functional teams.
• Ability to use cPlace to plan, manage, and document project status.
• Strong communication skills for presenting project updates and challenges to management.
• Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States; visa sponsorship and applications from existing visa holders are not accepted.
