Phone Specialist (Financial Services)

Location: Onsite in Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA

Salary: $22.50–$23.50 per hour, plus a 5% annual target bonus.

What you will do

• Answer incoming calls and assist members with questions, concerns, and requests.
• Research, diagnose, and resolve moderately complex issues across phone, text, chat, and video chat.
• Educate members about financial products and services and make qualified referrals for loans, deposits, and other services.
• Guide members through website navigation and troubleshooting.
• De-escalate dissatisfied-member situations and provide patient, professional support.
• Meet or exceed call center metrics while following policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Customer service, telephone, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Problem-solving, negotiation, research, prioritization, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to identify, resolve, or escalate issues with minimal guidance.
• Proficiency navigating multiple software packages, including Microsoft Office.
• Availability for onsite shifts, including rotating Saturday coverage every fourth weekend.

Nice to have

• 2–4 years of telephone or call center experience.
• Experience in a financial institution and basic financial industry knowledge.
