Focus on leading student staff, developing sport-specific game management manuals, managing budgets, and coordinating with conferences, governing bodies, campus authorities, and university stakeholders.
Location: Vancouver Campus, Vancouver, BC, Canada. Evening and weekend work and attendance at varsity games and celebration events are required.
Salary: $8,087.08–$12,117.08 CAD monthly.

What you will do
- Lead the end-to-end Varsity Game Operations program across preseason, regular-season, playoff, championship, and student-focused events.
- Plan and coordinate more than 100 varsity games annually, including schedules, officials, facilities, ticketing, promotions, security, and safety.
- Develop and implement game-management policies, protocols, procedures, manuals, scripts, public-address content, and signage.
- Coordinate with varsity coaches, senior leadership, conferences, national governing bodies, campus authorities, community partners, and external service providers.
- Lead championship-hosting bids and grant submissions and identify game-day sponsorship and promotion opportunities.
- Manage operating budgets, inventory, long-term planning, and the recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, and evaluation of approximately 100 student staff.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Canada West, USPORTS, and NAIA league policies and procedures related to game operations and hosting.
- Leadership, staff development, conflict resolution, organizational, financial, and time-management skills.
- Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment, tact, diplomacy, and effective decision-making in a complex environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear business correspondence.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Nice to have
- Post-secondary degree.
- Experience managing game operations in a college, university, or multisport games environment.
- Human resources, administrative, and supervisory experience in a large, multifunctional organization.
