Staff SW Quality Analyst: IDX Tax Operations (Fintech)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Base pay: $173,500–$234,500 annually, plus potential bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Define quality vision, strategy, and technical quality standards for TurboTax tax-data import and IDX integrations.
• Lead quality design for complex multi-partner API integrations, including test coverage, maintainability, and test-data management.
• Coordinate partner compliance and testing dependencies to ensure tax-season readiness and mitigate risks before customer impact.
• Apply AI and GenAI to test generation, coverage analysis, log triage, anomaly detection, and evaluation of AI-based features.
• Connect customer feedback, production telemetry, and partner-performance signals to identify latent quality issues.
• Create reusable self-service solutions, documentation, playbooks, and knowledge-base content while coaching teams and partners.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software quality engineering or analysis, including ownership of quality for complex integrations or platform services in fintech.
• Strong knowledge of US taxpayer forms, including W-2, 1099, and 1098 forms, plus payroll and financial-services data.
• Experience designing and executing test strategies for API integrations and customer experience flows.
• Experience with Tableau, Splunk, SQL querying, test-result analysis, log troubleshooting, and quality dashboards.
• Working knowledge of test-data management for sensitive financial and PII data, plus practical experience using AI/GenAI for quality work.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field; a master’s degree is preferred.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and OAuth or OIDC authentication.
• Fluency in payroll-management systems and financial or payroll data standards such as OFX, FDX, and EFW2.
• Experience defining quality strategy for a platform or partner ecosystem rather than a single application.
