Company

hirify.global develops advanced defense systems, including weapons, launchers, command-and-control systems, sensors, and mission software.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and own production software across weapons, launchers, sensors, mission planning, and command-and-control systems.
  • Build APIs, services, data pipelines, and interfaces that exchange targeting, mission, telemetry, and system-state data.
  • Implement communications across Ethernet, TCP/UDP, CAN, MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, and other tactical interfaces.
  • Develop simulators, tools, and test infrastructure for software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and system-level testing.
  • Debug integrated issues spanning application software, embedded systems, networks, avionics, sensors, and hardware.
  • Support integration, ground testing, flight testing, fielding, and collaboration with government customers, platform partners, operators, and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with C++, Rust, Python, Go, C, or similar languages, plus software architecture, APIs, networking, serialization, concurrency, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with Git, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, hardware or embedded-system interfaces, and complex integrated software debugging.
  • Ability to take software capabilities from requirements and architecture through implementation and testing, while working across software, hardware, systems, and operations teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance and access applicable export-controlled information.

Nice to have

  • Experience with mission planning, command and control, fire control, targeting, autonomy, sensor integration, weapon systems, aircraft avionics, spacecraft, robotics, or other mission-critical systems.
  • Experience with MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, UAI, CAN, Ethernet, TCP/UDP, protobuf, tactical data links, or military mission systems.
  • Experience with geospatial software, coordinate systems, route planning, trajectory generation, mission-data processing, embedded or real-time software, and Linux-based applications.
  • Experience with SIL, HIL, vehicle-in-the-loop, flight-test environments, or complex system-level integration campaigns.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.

Culture & Benefits

  • Early-stage environment with significant ownership and direct impact on defense-system development.
  • Hands-on collaboration across flight software, avionics, guidance and navigation, systems engineering, test, and integration.
  • Work may require extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet aggressive timelines.
  • Generous benefits package.
