Software Developer (C/C++)

Location: 100% onsite in Lexington, Massachusetts; candidates must live within 100 miles of Lexington. U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain specialized software tools for advanced data analysis and system performance evaluation.
• Design, implement, modify, and manage software programs and architectures.
• Optimize workflows and process data while integrating software and hardware systems.
• Research operational practicality and identify areas for improvement in existing programs.
• Perform unit and regression testing, rigorous documentation, software maintenance, and end-user engagement.
• Manage multiple projects independently and collaborate effectively with the team.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of software development experience.
• At least three years of C/C++ programming, including C++11 or later, the Standard Template Library, and Boost.
• Experience with Python, MATLAB, XML, SQL, Linux, Git/GitHub or GitLab, software architecture, and software design and development.
• Experience with Maven or Gradle, Make or Autotools, and at least one year of Google Protocol Buffers.
• Strong presentation, verbal, written communication, documentation, and testing skills.

Nice to have

• JSON, Protobuf, SQL-based databases, cloud computing, Docker, or high-performance computing software.
• Fortran programming and software or algorithm development experience.
• Master’s degree and experience with object-oriented software design and development.
