Quality Engineer

Location: On-site in Grand Rapids, Michigan, 5 days per week. First shift: 6:00 am–2:30 pm, Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays.

Annual base salary: $65,200–$118,860.

What you will do

• Administer the Quality Management System in line with procedures and work instructions.
• Support operations when quality issues arise and manage rejection processes for manufactured products and supplied components.
• Investigate root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions for customer complaints and internal issues.
• Administer the deviation process and lead ISO internal audits.
• Support new product development and engineered projects.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities in collaboration with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Program Management, and Supply Chain.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 2+ years of engineering experience in an assembly manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading blueprints and using measuring equipment, including CMM.
• Experience with root-cause investigation and corrective and preventive actions.
• Experience with problem-solving tools such as 9 Step, 8D, or A3.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and communicate with employees at all business levels and with suppliers.
