Service Technician (HVAC)

Location: On-site in Masai, Johor, with work required 5 days per week; based in Johor Bahru and supporting regional operations as needed.

What you will do

• Provide technical support, servicing, and maintenance for HVAC and data centre cooling systems.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, pumps, cooling towers, and related infrastructure.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, commission, and optimize HVAC and mission-critical cooling systems.
• Lead technicians and subcontractors while coordinating schedules, materials, vendors, and contractors.
• Communicate with data centre customers, manage work updates, address concerns, and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain documentation and reporting while following EHS and internal quality requirements; respond to urgent or after-hours maintenance needs.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of HVAC experience, preferably in data centre operations or mission-critical cooling systems.
• Strong expertise in chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, HVAC controls, diagnostics, and cooling optimization.
• Experience working with data centre customers and managing expectations in high-demand environments.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and customer-handling skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Based in Johor Bahru and willing to work long or irregular hours, including after-hours support when required.
