Lead Analytics Manager (Retail)

Location: Welwyn Garden City, United Kingdom. Hybrid role with 60% of the week spent collaborating at office locations or local sites and the remainder remotely.

What you will do

• Lead programmers and analysts delivering productivity models and solutions that improve the customer shopping experience.
• Analyze problem statements, provide data, write code, and maintain the regular operation of productivity models and schedules.
• Manage resource allocation, prioritization, changing requirements, and multiple projects to maximize business value.
• Drive automation and sustainable improvements that reduce business-as-usual activity and improve model health.
• Collaborate with project managers, product owners, finance, and cross-functional stakeholders through implementation.
• Build testing capability, coach the team technically, and manage stakeholder relationships across the organization.

Requirements

• Experience with SQL, Hadoop, mainframe environments, and writing SQL queries.
• Advanced Excel and Access skills, including VBA; experience with Alteryx, Alation, and Tableau.
• Retail, distribution, or fulfilment knowledge.
• Line management experience and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience developing and working to a plan and using sprint-based ways of working.
