Avionics Manufacturing Engineer (Harnessing) (Aerospace)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite

Salary: $100,000–$205,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop, qualify, and optimize manufacturing processes for spacecraft wire harnesses.
• Collaborate with harness design engineers on manufacturability, drawing reviews, and DFM/DFA.
• Own work instructions and provide day-to-day support to harnessing technicians on the production floor.
• Support environmental and functional testing, quality activities, and long-term reliability improvements.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Improve production rate, yield, and cost while ensuring timely harness delivery to the Integration team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of demonstrated manufacturing experience with harnessing.
• Onsite work in Redondo Beach is required.
• Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain a U.S. export license under ITAR/EAR regulations.
• Experience with harness manufacturing for space applications, hardware development, or continuous improvement is relevant to the role.
• Experience with Siemens NX mechanical design is preferred.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of harness manufacturing experience for space applications.
• Hardware development experience for space applications.
