Senior Software Engineer, Developer Tools & SDKs (Python/.NET)

Location: Remote, US; hybrid work is available for candidates based in the El Dorado Hills, California metro area. Qualified candidates must be a U.S. Person: a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

What you will do

• Define the technical architecture and long-term direction of Keeper Commander, including SDKs, CLI tooling, and automation capabilities.
• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable SDKs, APIs, developer tools, and enterprise integrations across Python and .NET.
• Architect integrations with CI/CD platforms, cloud services, infrastructure automation tools, and enterprise systems.
• Remain hands-on in production coding, debugging, architecture reviews, complex feature development, and troubleshooting.
• Partner with Product, Security, QA, and engineering teams to improve reliability, secure development, testing, releases, and developer experience.
• Lead and mentor a small engineering team while supporting the open-source ecosystem through reviews, issue triage, community engagement, and documentation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant hands-on development in Python and .NET.
• Experience building SDKs, APIs, CLIs, developer tools, automation frameworks, or platform integrations used by external developers or enterprise customers.
• Strong knowledge of API design, backward compatibility, versioning, authentication, authorization, secrets management, encryption, and secure software development.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP; DevOps and infrastructure automation; automated testing; CI/CD; and release engineering.
• Experience troubleshooting distributed or integration-heavy systems and communicating complex technical concepts clearly.
• Must be a U.S. Person: a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience leading a small engineering team or serving as a technical lead.
• Experience with privileged access management, identity security, secrets management, or cybersecurity platforms.
• Experience with Go, PowerShell, cross-platform software, cloud security services, package distribution, or SDK release workflows.
• Contributions to widely used SDKs, CLI tools, developer platforms, or DevOps automation projects.
