Senior Buyer (Drones)

Location: Hayward, California, United States; full-time, onsite. Relocation assistance may be provided for eligible roles.

Annual base salary: $136,000–$213,000, plus stock options and benefits.

hirify.global develops autonomous drones and aerial mobility technology, combining artificial intelligence, hardware, and software for utility inspection, public safety, national security, and other applications.

What you will do

• Manage purchase orders end-to-end for drones, docks, and future products, including releases, delivery commitments, receipts, discrepancies, invoice approvals, and supplier corrective actions.
• Maintain vendor and component data in ERP systems, including standard costs, lead times, minimum order quantities, logistics lead times, and payment terms.
• Improve ERP accuracy and expand MRP capabilities for in-house manufacturing.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on supply chain strategies and provide delivery data for Clear-to-Build reporting.
• Analyze procurement metrics, including on-time delivery, purchase order status, vendor performance, safety stock, inventory health, order policies, and cash flow.
• Support cross-functional initiatives focused on cost, quality, delivery, inventory management, supply continuity, and BOM cost reduction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, preferably in aerospace, robotics, or electronics manufacturing.
• Experience sourcing electronic components, mechanical parts, or aerospace materials.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
• Knowledge of supply chain principles, procurement best practices, global sourcing, and international logistics.
• Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in drone, UAV, aerospace, or high-tech hardware industries.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations or aerospace quality standards such as AS9100.
• APICS certification, such as CPIM or CSCP, or equivalent experience.
• FAA Part 107 certification; obtaining it within the first 60 days is strongly encouraged for all employees and required for certain positions.
