Benefit Administration Analyst (Pension Plans)

Location: Schaumburg, Illinois, or Dublin, Ohio

Annual salary: $45,000–$50,000, plus potential compensation incentives.

What you will do

• Process pension requests, including initial calculations, paperwork, data inquiries, and plan updates.
• Reconcile participant data changes and prepare year-end reporting.
• Respond to client and participant questions and maintain CRM case efficiency and accuracy.
• Analyze calculation breakpoints and test plan-specific calculations.
• Create and run participant data reports, manipulate data files, and review participant payments.
• Support out-of-scope projects such as plan terminations, TV buyouts, and new client implementations.

Requirements

• Entry-level profile with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, business, finance, or a related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of pension plans and defined benefit plan administration.
• Ability to analyze and understand large data sets and break down client-specific calculations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Strong time management, organization, communication, problem-solving, and systematic thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
