Underwriter III- Agency (Real Estate)

Location: OH - Columbus (43215), United States; in-office position

Base salary: $86,250.00–$143,750.00 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Prepare loan offerings, risk ratings, scorecards, and credit recommendations for real estate transactions of varying complexity.
• Analyze creditworthiness, collateral strength, financial performance, and transaction-party information to identify risks and mitigants.
• Manage credit risk for assigned portfolios and make or support credit decisions within delegated authority.
• Gather information from internal and external customers, resolve inconsistencies, and perform pre-approval and post-approval activities.
• Confirm regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, coach other underwriters, and provide coverage for the manager when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience.
• 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience.
• Knowledge of credit decisions, financial analysis, risk assessment, and underwriting.
• Knowledge of IRS Code Sections 42 and 47, equity structures, documentation, market research, onsite inspections, market comparable analysis, and third-party guidelines.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, decision-making, critical-thinking, and prioritization skills.
• Must work in the Columbus, Ohio office; hirify.global does not provide employment visa sponsorship or participate in STEM OPT for this position.
