Manager, Security Engineering, Production Security

Location: Los Angeles or Palo Alto, United States; expected to work in an office 4+ days per week under hirify.global's default-together policy.

Base salary: $213,000–$377,000 annually depending on the assigned U.S. pay zone, plus eligibility for RSUs.

What you will do

• Lead the Production Security team and set a multi-year strategy for securing hirify.global's production infrastructure.
• Build and operate security platforms covering network perimeter, cloud configuration, workload identity, secrets management, and CI/CD controls.
• Own service reliability, on-call health, customer support, incident response, and remediation of vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
• Oversee security reviews, risk exceptions, and adoption of security controls across Infrastructure, Developer Productivity, and Product Engineering.
• Guide the secure adoption of LLMs, AI tooling, and agentic workloads with emphasis on identity, access boundaries, and data protection.
• Recruit, manage, and develop engineers while establishing a strong security culture across the organization.

Requirements

• 8+ years of post-bachelor's industry experience, or an equivalent advanced-degree path in a related technical field.
• At least 1 year of experience as an Engineering Manager.
• Experience in production or infrastructure security, including cloud security, network perimeter, zero-trust design, workload identity, secrets management, Kubernetes, containers, or software supply chain security.
• Hands-on experience securing multi-cloud services, particularly AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, service mesh technologies, networking, or Linux internals, plus authentication frameworks such as OpenID Connect, OAuth, mTLS, and identity federation.
• Development experience in Go, Python, and/or Java, with strong communication and technical leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience leading teams that build and operate platform services at scale, including SLAs, on-call operations, and large migrations.
• Experience driving company-wide adoption of security controls or platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud security posture management platforms and native AWS and GCP security services.
