Staff Security Architect (AI)

Location: Austin, TX, USA

Base salary: $160,300–$240,500 in Zone A, $181,200–$271,800 in Zone B, or $203,600–$305,400 in Zone C, depending on primary work location.

What you will do

• Shape security architecture for hirify.global products and services and guide engineering teams toward secure-by-design outcomes.
• Embed security into high-priority product and service launches from early design through release.
• Coordinate with Product Security, Security Operations, Offensive Security, Infrastructure Security, IT, and engineering teams.
• Define security architecture for AI-native products, LLM integrations, agent workflows, and AI-assisted development tools.
• Contribute to agentic security tooling integrated with source control, AI coding tools, chat, and developer workflows.
• Analyze the risk posture and advise leadership on remediation priorities and secure engineering platforms.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in security, including substantial work in security architecture, principal engineering, or staff engineering for complex large-scale systems.
• Hands-on AI security experience with LLM-based products, agentic systems, or AI-assisted engineering workflows.
• Ability to build, prototype, and extend security systems directly.
• Strong cloud security expertise in GCP, AWS, or Azure, including identity, workload, and CI/CD security.
• Knowledge of secure architecture patterns and enterprise and audit expectations.
• Professional written and verbal English communication is required.
