2027 Construction Project Management Intern

Location: Calgary, Alberta; on-site five days per week. Travel is less than 15% within a defined geography.

Hourly base pay: $23.10–$33.00.

What you will do

• Complete a 12-week summer internship focused on construction project management.
• Plan and coordinate construction projects, including schedules, estimates, dependencies, milestones, CPM analysis, and histogram analysis.
• Support engineering programming, material selection, project scope validation, and cost forecasting.
• Prepare subcontractor RFQs and evaluate proposals, scopes, specifications, bonding requirements, and billing schedules.
• Assist with supervising project staff, subcontractors, and installers.
• Communicate with contractors, subcontractors, owners, engineers, and project team members about scope, budgets, performance, close-out, and obstacles.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree throughout the internship; preferred fields include Construction Engineering, Building Management, Construction Management, HVAC, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• Completed at least the sophomore year or second year before the internship begins.
• Knowledge of construction management processes, methods, and building systems through coursework, projects, groups, work, or volunteer experience.
• Legal right to work in Canada required.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months, proof of insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
• Some opportunities may be remote or hybrid across North America, but this Calgary position is on-site five days per week.
