Technical Regulatory Compliance Engineering Specialist (Regulatory Compliance)

Location: Piracicaba, São Paulo, Brazil; onsite five days a week. Travel estimated at 10% or more. Relocation to Brazil is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Advise product teams on regulatory landscapes, market access requirements, and compliance obligations for products imported into Latin America, particularly South America.
• Provide technical leadership to trade associations, regulatory authorities, standards organizations, certification agencies, and industry stakeholders.
• Interpret current and emerging regulations and communicate their impact to hirify.global product teams.
• Collaborate with product teams to ensure products are developed, validated, and produced in compliance with applicable requirements.
• Support regional product certification and act as the Brazil-based certification liaison for markets requiring local assistance.
• Develop and communicate regulatory requirements, certification processes, and compliance guidance.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Active CREA registration.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Portuguese and English.
• Basic Spanish is required.
• Knowledge of influencing, collaboration, data gathering and analysis, and communication of complex information.
• Ability to work onsite in Piracicaba five days per week and travel 10% or more.

Nice to have

• Experience with product regulations, standards, and certification.
• Knowledge of engine emissions technologies and certification test procedures.
• Knowledge of product development methods and product engineering techniques.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish.
