Field Application Specialist (Life Sciences)

Location: Fully remote from Brazil; regular travel of approximately 60% is required

What you will do

• Provide application support for scientific areas including genomics and drug discovery.
• Act as a technical expert during pre-sales presentations, seminars, customer engagements, and product demonstrations.
• Assess customer workflows, define project scope, and recommend solutions that improve scientific and operational outcomes.
• Deliver customer training and ongoing technical support while maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Develop, adapt, and optimize liquid-handling methods and protocols with industrial and academic partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in biology or a related field, preferably with experience in genomics, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a similar discipline.
• Knowledge of liquid handling, laboratory automation, and robotic laboratory equipment.
• Strong experience with next-generation sequencing, synthetic biology, single-cell workflows, high-throughput screening, cell-based assays, or biochemical assays.
• Ability to teach, train, and communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation, and customer-facing skills.
• Valid driver’s license, compliance with safe-driver criteria, and a valid passport are required; regular travel of approximately 60% is expected.
