Engineer II, Cloud & Web Systems Software

Location: On-site in Irvine, California, United States

Annual salary: $100,000–$120,000, plus eligible bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native and web-based applications, services, APIs, and system integrations.
• Contribute to scalable backend architectures and modern web applications supporting connected medical technologies and enterprise platforms.
• Build software with Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, cloud platforms, and modern frameworks.
• Participate in frontend and backend development, including UI implementation, database integration, and service-layer development.
• Collaborate with project managers, systems engineers, product development teams, and external partners to deliver software products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of software engineering experience in cloud, web, backend, full-stack, or distributed systems development.
• Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, or similar programming languages and frameworks.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or similar cloud platforms.
• Understanding of web services, APIs, microservices, and distributed system architectures.

Nice to have

• Experience in medical devices, healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, secure software development, authentication and authorization, and data privacy.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud monitoring, logging, or observability tools.
