Full Stack Software Engineer I

Location: San Diego, California, United States; onsite work required

Salary: $35.34–$48.15–$60.96 per hour

What you will do

• Develop, design, implement, and test software across the full technology stack.
• Translate functional requirements into working software with Business Systems Analysts.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and provide production support.
• Design system-level solutions using object-oriented principles and design patterns.
• Work with APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, databases, and application frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews, document designs, and present technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, plus 4+ years of related software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Python and Java 21+.
• Experience with web application development using Angular or React, JavaScript, FastAPI or Flask, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, object-oriented programming, API gateways, Redis, relational databases, PostgreSQL or Oracle, and SQL.
• Experience with Unix/Linux, Jenkins or Argo CD, Kubernetes, Agile Scrum, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Ability to work onsite in San Diego and work occasional nights, weekends, or holidays when required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Gravitee, ActiveMQ, or Apache Kafka.
• Familiarity with pharmacy benefit management and pharmaceutical practices.
