Cost Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Stevenage or Portsmouth, United Kingdom, with some hybrid working available. SC Security Clearance is required or must be obtainable.

What you will do

• Lead cost engineering activities for studies, proposals, and future EOS implementation projects.
• Collect, model, and analyse cost and price data to establish quotation baselines and support financial proposals.
• Coordinate bid preparation with multidisciplinary stakeholders and implement competitive win strategies.
• Lead estimation activities while balancing price-to-win, design-to-cost, value-for-money, profitability, liquidity, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• Guide engineering decisions supporting cost-efficient development and production of EOSX products and product families.
• Prepare and submit financial proposals while supporting schedule, cost, and risk management through customer acceptance.

Requirements

• Experience in cost engineering, estimating, and financial modelling within complex bidding or business acquisition environments.
• Experience analysing cost and price data to establish quotation baselines.
• Knowledge of design-to-cost and price-to-win methodologies.
• Experience coordinating bid preparation and leading multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Experience supporting schedule, cost, and risk management throughout the proposal lifecycle.
• Must have or be able to obtain SC Security Clearance.
