Director, Assistant General Counsel - Lending

Location: New York, New York, United States; hybrid work model with in-office and work-from-home flexibility

Salary: $260,000–$315,000 base salary per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Provide legal advice on U.S. bankhirify.global laws, regulatory requirements, compliance matters, and market practice for lendhirify.global transactions.
• Support trade and commodities finance, receivables financhirify.globals, letters of credit, and secured lendhirify.global transactions.
• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial, corporate, operational, and lendhirify.global agreements.
• Advise senior management on corporate governance, regulatory developments, and significant legal risks.
• Develop legal policies, procedures, guidelines, best practices, and template documentation.
• Monitor U.S. and global legal developments and collaborate with international legal and regulatory colleagues on extraterritorial U.S. laws.

Requirements

• J.D. and active New York Bar admission.
• 7+ years of post-qualification experience as a New York Bar attorney.
• Strong knowledge of complex lendhirify.global products, includhirify.global trade and commodities finance, receivables financhirify.globals, letters of credit, and secured lendhirify.global.
• Experience with bank regulatory matters, bankhirify.global laws, regulations, BIC facility matters, and discount window matters.
• Commercially minded, solutions-oriented, detail-focused, and able to work independently in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, includhirify.global the ability to influence senior stakeholders across global platforms.
