Automotive Tire Technician Full Time (Automotive)

Location: Waterford, CT, United States; onsite tire bay position

Salary: $18.25–$23.00 per hour. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is also mentioned.

What you will do

• Install, mount, dismount, rotate, balance, and repair automotive tires.
• Assist members with tire selection and purchases, including verifying vehicle tire sizes.
• Complete tire bay scheduling, sales, service documentation, and supply inventory records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe tire bay and waiting area, including merchandising tire and automotive displays.
• Dispose of tires, fill propane tanks when DOT-certified, and use tire bay equipment according to safety standards.
• Provide knowledgeable service, resolve member concerns, and support other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and basic computer skills, or willingness to learn them.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds with assistance and perform frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
• Prior tire installation experience is preferred.
