Senior Software Developer (GEOINT)

Location: Carlsbad, California, United States. Hybrid work is available, but work is primarily performed at the Carlsbad office. The role includes on-site customer meetings and deliveries.

Salary: $136,000–$204,000 per year.

Develops software products and applications for government and commercial customers, including geospatial intelligence and imagery-related solutions.

What you will do

• Define software requirements with a team lead.
• Design and develop system software for customers.
• Develop complete features across the software lifecycle, including coding and testing.
• Work with full-stack development teams and explore new technologies or programming languages.
• Support on-site customer meetings and product deliveries.
• Work independently and collaboratively to achieve customer and company goals.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must hold a Secret Security Clearance and be eligible for TS/SCI access.
• 10+ years of software development experience, including object-oriented design, programming, design, coding, and testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with web services, JavaScript, React, Java, and C/C++.
• Ability to work at the Carlsbad office and support on-site customer activities.

Nice to have

• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, AWS, or Azure.
• Familiarity with Agile or DevSecOps procedures.
• Security+ or CISSP certification.
• Software testing, quality assurance, software management, or backlog management experience.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
