Senior Data Engineer (GCP)

Location: Hybrid in Lisbon or Porto, Portugal

What you will do

• Design, build, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot data pipelines using Cloud Composer and Airflow.
• Develop complex SQL transformations and data models in BigQuery.
• Optimize BigQuery performance, partitioning, clustering, and costs.
• Perform data migrations from SQL Server and on-premise systems to GCP and BigQuery.
• Improve ETL/ELT processes, data quality, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate independently with technical and business teams on challenging client projects.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience as a Data Engineer working with Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong expertise in BigQuery, complex SQL, data modelling, performance optimization, partitioning, clustering, and cost optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud Composer and Airflow.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data transformation, automation, and migration.
• Proven experience with SQL Server or on-premise data migration to GCP and BigQuery.
• English at B2 level is mandatory.
