Senior Data Engineer

Location: Remote from Portugal; candidates must be based in Portugal

hirify.global is developing scalable data ecosystems and cloud-based data solutions for strategic initiatives.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines across multiple cloud environments.
• Build and operate real-time and batch data workflows.
• Develop scalable data services and automation with Python and Apache Airflow.
• Create modern data models, including Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault, star schemas, and semantic models.
• Work with large datasets and platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Spark.
• Support cross-cloud architecture, streaming solutions, and reliable data ecosystems.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in data engineering and end-to-end data pipeline delivery.
• Strong experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and willingness to work in a multi-cloud environment.
• Advanced Python, SQL, Apache Airflow, data modeling, and large-scale data processing skills.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, Terraform, and Kafka.
• Must be based in Portugal.
• Excellent command of English and strong collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD workflows and Git.
• Exposure to event-driven architecture and real-time analytics.
• Knowledge of advanced data security and governance practices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
