Safety and Industrial Hygiene Coordinator

Location: Guanajuato, Mexico; onsite plant-based role. Full-time or part-time options are stated.

hirify.global operates this role within its Grid Technologies Transformers business at the Guanajuato plant.

What you will do

• Lead and continuously improve occupational safety and industrial hygiene programs, standards, procedures, and annual action plans.
• Coordinate operational safety, machine safety, critical-risk controls, contractor safety, emergency preparedness, and workplace exposure management.
• Deploy safety initiatives across operations, maintenance, engineering, projects, and contractor activities.
• Provide field leadership and drive measurable improvements in incident prevention and safety performance.
• Partner with Occupational Health, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Projects, and EQS functions.
• Support management-system governance, regulatory tracking, training strategy, audits, and consolidated reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Environmental, Chemical, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Expertise in critical-risk controls, machine safety, contractor safety, industrial hygiene, and incident prevention.
• Knowledge of Mexican regulatory compliance and ISO 45001.
• Professional English proficiency required.
• Strong field leadership and experience managing workplace hazard identification and exposure controls.

Nice to have

• Experience in transformer manufacturing or a comparable heavy industrial environment.
