Construction Safety Manager

Location: Monterrey, Mexico; onsite construction-site work. No relocation assistance is offered.

What you will do

• Supervise health and safety practices across active construction sites and enforce local policies and hirify.global standards.
• Support safety management systems focused on risk management and incident control.
• Plan and deliver training on risk prevention and safety procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and corrective actions.
• Lead accident and incident investigations, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures.
• Maintain safety records and advise project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in construction safety on large-scale, high-risk projects, including manufacturing plants, factories, commercial buildings, or similar environments.
• Hands-on experience managing safety on active construction sites and working with contractors, subcontractors, project teams, and site personnel.
• Knowledge of construction health and safety regulations, risk assessments, safety audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and related safety management systems; proficiency in MS Office.
• Advanced written and spoken English proficiency and strong communication and advisory skills.
