Staff Communication Systems Modeling & Simulation (Aerospace)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of communication system architectures, interfaces, subsystems, and performance models.
• Guide link analysis, trade studies, simulation, performance evaluation, verification, validation, testing, and system integration.
• Develop technical solutions addressing product, customer, performance, interoperability, and system requirements.
• Establish repeatable modeling and simulation processes, workflow automation, and reusable engineering practices.
• Resolve complex integration and performance issues using simulation, test, and engineering data.
• Lead technical reviews and collaboration with systems, software, RF, electrical, mechanical, quality, integration, test, and program teams.

Requirements

• Engineering bachelor's degree with 8–12 years of related experience, master's degree with 6–8 years, or PhD with 3–5 years.
• Advanced knowledge of communication systems, systems engineering, system architecture, requirements development, and interface management.
• Experience with systems modeling, link analysis, simulation tools, trade studies, engineering analysis, and model validation.
• Knowledge of digital communications, RF fundamentals, networking, signal processing, interoperability, and system integration.
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, STK, Python, or equivalent engineering analysis and modeling tools.
• Experience with requirements, documentation, configuration management, and collaboration tools such as DOORS, Jira, or Confluence.
