Integration Engineer (Workday)

Location: Sacramento, California, United States. The role may require driving to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities.

Salary: $117,000–$130,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain integrations between internal applications, ERP systems, Workday, HRIS platforms, and third-party applications.
• Build API-based, event-driven, file-based, and middleware integrations that enable reliable data flow.
• Own Workday inbound and outbound integrations using APIs, EIBs, Studio, and RaaS.
• Develop backend services and ETL/ELT pipelines using Python or Java in AWS environments.
• Assess integration requirements, recommend architectures and data flows, and guide technical implementation.
• Debug integration issues through log analysis, error investigation, and root-cause identification.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong experience with integration engineering, ERP systems, Workday, ETL, APIs, and data engineering.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python and/or Java, with advanced SQL expertise for relational databases.
• Experience with AWS cloud solutions, data warehousing, and DevOps tools and practices.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record may be required based on business needs.
