Buyer (Material Planning)

Location: Onsite in Xiamen, Fujian, China

What you will do

• Define inventory policies based on material segmentation and business requirements.
• Calculate and maintain safety stock, reorder points, lot sizes, lead times, and replenishment strategies in ERP and planning systems.
• Coordinate material planning and convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders with operations buyers and services.
• Plan material demand, monitor inventory and delivery status, and support timely supply for project requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers on delivery, minimum order quantities, quality, lead times, capacity reservations, logistics, and commercial terms.
• Assess supply risks and implement mitigation measures such as alternative suppliers, inventory buffers, material substitutions, and capacity reservations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• At least 3 years of experience in material planning, purchasing, sourcing, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Experience with material management modules in ERP systems.
• Knowledge of supply markets and lead times for electrical equipment materials such as protection relays, transformers, insulation components, sheet metal, copper bars, or copper tubes.
• Strong data analysis, logical thinking, communication, and coordination skills.
• Business English communication skills are required.
