Materials Manager

What you will do

• Drive material readiness to support production continuity while optimizing inventory and working capital.
• Coordinate with suppliers, production, engineering, quality, and logistics teams to support on-time delivery.
• Communicate material status, supply risks, and mitigation actions, and resolve production or delivery constraints.
• Lead process improvement initiatives across sourcing, planning, and logistics functions.
• Manage purchase orders from placement and confirmation through supplier follow-up and discrepancy resolution.
• Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory accuracy, storage utilization, traceability, obsolete inventory, and alignment with production and shipping needs.

Requirements

• Experience coordinating suppliers and internal stakeholders across materials, production, engineering, quality, and logistics.
• Ability to manage purchase order lifecycles and resolve receiving, invoicing, and accounts payable discrepancies.
• Knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, stock reconciliation, FIFO/LIFO compliance, and material traceability.
• Ability to improve inventory turnover, reduce lead times, and manage supply risks.
• Understanding of logistics, customs, safety, environmental, and internal compliance requirements.
