What you will do

• Design RF and microwave integrated circuits and reusable IP, including amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, frequency synthesizers, switches, phase shifters, and matching networks.
• Own RFIC development from architecture and transistor-level design through simulation, electromagnetic-aware layout, physical verification, tapeout, and silicon characterization.
• Analyze RF performance across process, voltage, and temperature, including noise, gain, linearity, stability, phase noise, power, matching, and parasitic effects.
• Perform electromagnetic simulation and modeling of passive structures, interconnects, transmission lines, inductors, transformers, and matching networks.
• Define silicon test structures and characterization plans, analyze measured data, debug performance issues, and correlate hardware results with simulations.
• Lead technical reviews, document design methods and results, mentor engineers, and collaborate with modeling, PDK, technology, packaging, test, and external teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Applied Physics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant RF, microwave, or analog integrated circuit design experience.
• Experience taking RF or microwave ICs through schematic design, simulation, layout, DRC/LVS, parasitic extraction, tapeout, and silicon validation.
• Strong knowledge of impedance matching, S-parameters, stability, noise, linearity, phase noise, RF power, passive networks, and transmission-line effects.
• Proficiency with RFIC design, circuit simulation, electromagnetic simulation, layout, physical verification, and post-layout extraction tools.
• Fluent written and verbal English is required; travel may be up to 10%. The role may require applying for a US Department of Defense Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, RF/Microwave Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with cryogenic RFICs, quantum readout or control electronics, millimeter-wave circuits, wireless/RF front ends, or advanced RF applications.
• Experience with on-wafer RF characterization and correlation to circuit, device, electromagnetic, and package models.
• Automation experience using Python, SKILL, Tcl, MATLAB, or equivalent scripting environments.
