Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Fully remote across Latin America, aligned to the client's working day and United States time zones

What you will do

• Build end-to-end product software, including APIs, services, data models, and interfaces in client technology stacks.
• Turn problem statements into production software that can be handed over to other engineers.
• Define specifications and tests before implementation and maintain repository-level AI agent context.
• Review every code change delivered under your name, including code produced by AI coding agents.
• Own automated testing, CI/CD, failure handling, and production quality.
• Work directly inside client repositories, standups, and occasionally customer calls while meeting security and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production software in at least one modern language and stack.
• Strong engineering fundamentals, including testing, code review, CI/CD, Git, containers, and API design.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, schema design, query performance, REST, OAuth, and JSON integrations.
• Cloud deployment experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code such as GitHub Actions, Terraform, or Bicep.
• Daily practical experience with AI coding agents, repository-level context, and reviewing agent-generated changes.
• Clear written and spoken English at C1 or above and the ability to explain technical trade-offs directly to clients. A bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience is required.

Nice to have

• Frontend experience with React, Vue, or an equivalent framework, including UI and accessibility work.
• Mobile delivery experience, agent tooling development, or performance and cost optimization in production systems.
• Experience delivering under SOC 2 or HIPAA requirements.
• Open-source contributions, technical writing, or active engineering community participation.
