TL;DR

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA; frequent local travel to jobsites across Eastern Michigan is required.

What you will do

  • Start up, test, certify, commission, troubleshoot, and service airflow control, cleanroom, and air monitoring systems.
  • Test and certify cleanrooms, biological safety cabinets, laminar flow hoods, fume hoods, HEPA filtration systems, and related controlled-environment equipment.
  • Measure airflow, verify room pressurization, perform HEPA filter integrity testing, and conduct environmental monitoring.
  • Support installation verification, system startups, minor field adjustments, jobsite meetings, customer training, and project closeout.
  • Maintain installation records, as-built drawings, calibration documentation, certification records, work orders, time sheets, and commissioning reports.
  • Follow gowning, de-gowning, contamination-control, material-handling, and safety procedures in pharmaceutical, healthcare, laboratory, and other controlled environments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED; a mechanical, electrical, or related technical degree is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in controlled-environment testing, TAB, HVAC systems, cleanroom certification, or a related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of airflow principles, HVAC sequences, room pressurization, filtration systems, cleanroom certification, and environmental monitoring equipment.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, blueprints, electrical diagrams, control sequences, manuals, and equipment performance data.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate with customers and contractors, use hand tools and mobile technology, and lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-based sponsorship. A drug test and background check are required before hire.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of USP 797, USP 800, CETA guidelines, NSF standards, ISO cleanroom standards, and contamination-control practices.
  • Experience working under strict cleanroom gowning protocols.
  • Mechanical, electrical, or related technical degree.
