Engineering Technician C - 2nd Shift (Defense Tech)

Location: Rochester, New York, United States; onsite, 2nd shift. Schedule: 4/10, with 10-hour days worked 4 days per week. The role requires traversing the production floor for the duration of the shift, potentially up to 12 hours.

Salary: $26.20–$48.80 per hour.

What you will do

• Support assembly of new and existing products in the manufacturing facility.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and assembly equipment.
• Create and maintain process documentation and work instructions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and procure tooling, equipment, and production parts.
• Work with engineers to develop and implement manufacturing engineering plans and projects.
• Coordinate across disciplines and shifts to identify and implement process improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with 6 years of prior experience, or a 2-year post-secondary/associate degree with 2 years of prior experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing systems, production processes, technical standards, and assembly equipment.
• Ability to learn new equipment and support setup and operation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced production environment and adapt as priorities change.
• Security clearances may require U.S. citizenship; applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information where applicable.

• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S, error proofing, standard work, and quick changeover.
