TL;DR

Lab Engineering Power Technician (Electronics/Voltage Regulators): Conducting engineering tests, fault isolation, platform rework, and experimental validation of voltage regulators and power solutions in a data center technology lab with an accent on hands-on electronics testing, soldering, and detailed engineering reporting. Focus on operating oscilloscopes and other lab equipment, interpreting schematics and board layouts, maintaining calibrated equipment, and identifying nonstandard system issues.

Location: On-site in Guadalajara, Mexico. The position requires an on-site presence and Shift 1 in Mexico. Candidates must have an unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico; visa or immigration sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

Perform technical validation and testing of voltage regulators and other power solutions.
Conduct operational system tests and fault isolation to identify nonstandard issues.
Complete platform rework, including soldering, component replacement, and package rework.
Use oscilloscopes, probes, multimeters, and function generators for advanced testing.
Read schematics and board layout databases, maintain lab equipment, and track parts and platforms.
Prepare engineering reports and communicate findings to engineers and stakeholders.

Requirements

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
At least 1 year of experience with platform rework, soldering, and component replacement.
At least 1 year of experience using oscilloscopes, probes, digital multimeters, and function generators.
Experience reading schematics and board layout databases, maintaining lab equipment, calibrating equipment, and tracking parts or platforms.
Intermediate English proficiency for reading and writing technical instructions.
Permanent, unrestricted authorization to work in Mexico; sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

Hands-on experience testing voltage regulators.
Familiarity with logic analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
Excel proficiency for data tracking and analysis.
Knowledge of analog and digital electronic design.
Python or C++ programming skills for automation and data analysis.
